Summery of what the Bible is

The Bible, simply put, is God's word put into writing so that man can comprehend it. It tells us how the world came into existence, why we are here, and who God is. It goes mostly in chronological order and has many authors. The Bible also contains sixty six books, thirty nine books in the old testament and twenty seven in the new testament. So that's the textbook answer, right? Well, yes it is but it is also so much more than that. It is the key to life and understanding. without the Bible we could come up with some excuse to how and why the universe exists but we would still be blind in darkness with no hope to know the truth. The reason we know God is because he gave his word to us, so that we might have a better understanding of Him and we could eventually develop a relationship with Him. The way we get to know God better is through prayer and reading His word. In Psalms 119: 104-106, It says, " Through your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path. I have sworn and confirmed that I will keep your righteous judgments." To answer the questions that I mentioned at the beginning of this, We are here to bring glory to God, the world came into existence because God spoke it into existence, and God is perfection, our creator, and our savior. That is pretty much the summery of why there is a Bible but it has barely scratched the surface to what it is. In the beginning of the Bible it talks about the creation of the universe, man's creation, perfection, the fall of man, the sin of man continuing, God wiping out the world (minus a small percentage) through a massive flood, the beginning of languages, the dispersion of man, and it isn't even half of the first book out of all sixty six.
